Holiday Shoppe at Freedom Commons Naperville benefits Young People with Disabilities Shoppe Hours Extended a Week By Popular Demand
Freedom Commons Naperville invites shoppers to shop for a great cause Friday, December 10 - Sunday, December 19 as the lifestyle center hosts the We Grow Dreams Holiday Shoppe at Freedom Commons, 1727 Freedom Drive between Diehl Road and the I-88 Naperville exit. The Holiday Shoppe will be open from 11am - 3 pm daily and feature boxwood baby reindeer, poinsettia of various colors and sizes, holiday plants and topiary, birdhouses, picture frames, ornaments and decorations, hand-crafted gifts, greeting cards and gift wrap created by team members of We Grow Dreams.
The event will also feature a holiday raffle as well as hot apple cider, coffee and sweet treats. We Grow Dreams Greenhouse and Garden Center in West Chicago provides people with disabilities an opportunity to train and work in a supportive, caring environment while providing quality products and services to the community. The organization held a popular Garden Market throughout the summer and fall months at Freedom Commons.
We Grow Dreams demonstrates a compelling example of social entrepreneurship - utilizing private-sector practices and accountability in the not-for-profit world to confront society's urgent needs. The organization is a 501c3 charity which serves young people and their families throughout DuPage and Kane County. Approximately 60% of those supported come from Naperville.
