Freedom Commons Welcomes Autumn with Cruise Night Celebration

The merchants and restaurateurs of Freedom Commons in Naperville invite the community to salute the coming Fall season with a Classic Car Cruise finale to include a midday road rally to the Route 66 Museum, followed by a celebration at Freedom Commons for the car fans, music fans and families alike. The event, to be held Saturday, September 26, from 5-9 pm, will be highlighted by fireworks at 9 pm.
Classic Car promoter Double K Productions will host a road trip for classic car owners and aficionados, leaving Freedom Commons at noon and visit three auto restoration shops in New Lenox, Oswego and Plainfield, as well as the Historic Route 66 Museum and Welcome Center in Joliet. The group will return to Freedom Commons at 5 pm. for a special Cruise Night featuring all makes and models of Classic, Muscle, Custom and Antique Cars, as well as live music by Chicago 50’s and 60’s band The Rag Tops, and Naperville favorites The No Show Joe Band. The rally and Cruise Night are free to participants. There is no registration required.
Bring your picnic chairs and enjoy the Monster Truck Jumper for kids and tasting booths and restaurant discounts from several great restaurants, including Morton’s, Taco Fresco, Subway, and Jason’s Deli. Additional restaurants at Freedom Commons include Maggiano’s, Froots, Einstein Bros. Bagels and the White Chocolate Grill. Gift Package drawings and giveaways will continue throughout the evening, which also culminates with a fireworks show at 9 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
