Grand Opening Saturday, May 15 for Not-for-Profit Garden Market at Freedom Commons Naperville

Don't miss the Grand Opening of the We Grow Dreams Garden Market, the Naperville-area retail home to We Grow Dreams, a not-for-profit greenhouse and garden center providing a wide variety of premium quality plants and gardening accessories. Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting featuring Mayor George Pradel and music by the School of Performing Arts Fluffernutters and Main Melody will be at 10 am Saturday, May 15. Drawings for Freedom Commons Gifts and special offers will be available courtesy of the merchants of Freedom Commons. Customers will receive a four-inch pansy free with any purchase this weekend. The Garden Market will be held from 9 am - 1 pm every Saturday from May 15 through October.

Special for the Grand Opening Weekend are container plantings including large and small flower and vegetable pots, salsa pots planted with peppers, tomatoes and herbs, small planters for patio gardening and a variety of hanging baskets.

Items for sale at the Garden Market will include annuals, perennials, herbs, houseplants, mixed containers, hypertufa planters with plants, fairy gardens, pumpkins, gourds and cornstalks, locally grown seasonal produce, birdhouses, customized garden bricks and pet memorial stones, craft items, handcrafted gift cards and bookmarks. Shoppers may drop off their own containers to be planted. Weekly specials will be posted at www.freedomcommons.com.

Plenty of opportunities to enjoy coffee, breakfast, snacks and lunch are available at several Freedom Commons restaurants including Einstein Bagel Brothers, Jason's Deli, Subway, Taco Fresco, Maggiano's and the White Chocolate Grill. We Grow Dreams Greenhouse & Garden Center's mission is to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives and to train and work in a supportive, safe and caring environment while producing and providing products and services to the community. Donations and sales help develop this model for job training in the state of Illinois.
